A Whole Year of Winners
A round-up of some of our favourite winners stories
December 19, 2019
As the year comes to a close, we thought it would be nice to look back on how our games have made small differences to people’s lives! Here are some of our favourite ‘feel-good’ Scratch Day winners stories...
After winning £200 back in March, Kenneth decided he wanted nothing more than to spend it on a lovely meal for him and his wife! As a working man, with kids to look after, he thought it would be nice to treat his loved one to some one-on-one time at a fancy local restaurant.
He was more than surprised at winning, and told us that he just turned to his wife in disbelief, asking “does that say £200?” It certainly did!
29-year-old Britney was one of our lucky £250 winners! She originally installed Scratch Day as she used to buy scratch cards each week, and was fed up of not winning, so opted for our free alternative. Within three months of playing, she hit the jackpot!
Whilst she says it’s not the most exciting of buys, Britney decided to purchase a new fridge freezer for her lovely home! She was desperately in need for a new one and this was the perfect opportunity.
Possibly our favourite of them all, one of our £100 winners, Adrian, bought his dream running trainers! He’d wanted them for ages, but said they’d always been a bit out of his price range… until he won on Scratch Day!
He wore them immediately for a running event in Doncaster – a 10-mile run around country lanes. Having lost five stone in two years, Adrian gives some credit to his trainers for motivating him to keep running and continue his weight-loss journey!
Onto the next…
These are just three of our winners from this year – we can’t wait to see how many 2020 brings! Which is your favourite story? Send us a message and let us know, or tell us what you would spend your winnings on!
