Celebrating Halloween in Style
Here’s what we got up to during the spooky season!
November 6, 2019
If one thing’s for certain, it’s that Viker love a good celebration. So, with October rolling round and Halloween fast-approaching, it was time to go all-out! After all, ‘fun starts here’, right?
So that our players could celebrate with us, our design and development teams used their spooky talents and wicked imaginations to deliver a Halloween makeover to Scratch Day, Spin Day, and Lotto Day!
Scratch Day had a ‘Pumpkin Pay’ card – just match three pumpkins to win £500! Meanwhile, Spin Day showcased new ‘Trick or Treat’ and ‘Scary Night’ spinners, each with the chance of winning a jack-o-jackpot! For Lotto Day, all the bonus balls got changed to Halloween-themed items – think pumpkins, gravestones and bats!
Themed social posts and competitions
It didn’t stop in-game… we took the spooky occasion over to our social media too! Did you spot our Halloween-themed Facebook display pictures? Using mysterious fonts, and a host of ghoulish graphics, we created posts to suit the theme. They went down a treat – literally!
Posts included Halloween riddles with token rewards for correct answers… what room do ghosts avoid? We also ran plenty of competitions with Halloween-themed prizes, including costumes, and even a Murder Mystery hotel break! It’s safe to say our community got into the spirit!
Viker’s work event!
Lastly, we wanted to celebrate as a whole team here at Viker. We arranged to go to a local pub for Halloween drinks, and all got dressed up! No one revealed their costume until the day, and we had an impressive range; home-made costumes, arty makeup, and of course, the classics.
The pub was, luckily, all kitted out for the occasion as well. They went all out with the Halloween decorations, including bunting and carved pumpkins; we had a great night celebrating together!
Onto the next…
So, we had fun… but Halloween is over and it’s time to get ready for the next celebration! What did you do for Halloween? Drop us a message, we would love to know!
