Community Manager

A quick intro to our studio;

We’re a young and hungry studio based in the heart of London, on a mission to design and build games that the world can play. Within the last 24 months, we have launched 15+ titles, had multiple number 1 games and have worked with some of the UK’s biggest influencers; and this is just the start!

So, what’s this role all about?

As a Community Manager, you’ll be working within Viker’s Marketing Team. Your responsibilities will be predominantly communications and copywriting based, as you will maintain Viker’s upbeat and conversational tone of voice across all interactions, including in-game.

You will write copy for the user’s journey from the app store (where users download the game), right through to the winning pop-up displayed within the game when the user wins! You will also assist in the copywriting, personalisation and scheduling of push notifications, which are delivered directly to hundreds of thousands of player’s home-screens instantly – and are therefore crucial to maintaining and increasing engagement and retention.

You will be working on the front line of consumer communications, via email, app stores and social media; this requires the ability to provide a high quality of customer service, identify recurring problems and report these to our developers. You will manage Viker’s blog and multiple social media accounts, taking ownership over content creation and copywriting, to engage and interact with our invaluable, responsive community and drive them into our games.

You will be heavily involved in the planning and execution of monthly livestreams, the perfect opportunity to showcase your creativity. Ideation is a core part of this role; your input will aid development of in-game events and mini-games for marketing purposes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to kick-start their marketing career, gain a broad range of experience and insight, and work for an innovative and forward-thinking company within one of the most exciting industries!

In this role, you can expect to do the following;

  • Handle a range of enquiries from customers by email and across social media channels, including complaints and app store reviews.
  • Manage Viker’s blog and numerous social media accounts; including content creation, copywriting, running competitions, and participation in the planning and shooting of monthly livestreams.
  • Verify winners and process prizes.
  • Brainstorm new in-game features, and watch your ideas be brought to life by the developers!
  • App store and in-game copywriting, including scheduling and monitoring notifications.
  • Provide daily reports to senior management.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a smart, proactive, A-level or University educated individual with ambitions to grow and develop within a creative working environment. This is the perfect opportunity to start to build a career in one of the fastest growing industry categories.

To be successful in this application, we would expect you to have most of the following;

  • Experience in a customer service role (this can be office or retail based).
  • Patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Tenacity and motivation.
  • Strong timekeeping skills.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • A creative streak, and a natural flair for copywriting.
  • An eagerness to learn and progress.
  • A friendly and tactful personality, an open-minded attitude and a great sense of humour!
  • The ideal candidate will be up to date with current trends, memes and celebrity news.
  • The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and active social media user. Experience running a blog, social media page or account is desirable, but not required.
